The API seems not to work properly today, where can I find informations ?

First, have a look to the API status page, you should find more informations about potential API troubleshoots. However, if everything seems clear on the API status page, please double check if this problem isn't due to your own infrastructure (have you update a component recently ?). If this is still not working properly, you may be one of the pionneer of a bug ! Feel free to contact us through the contact form page.

My Magento/Prestashop module isn't working properly, what can I do ?

reSmush.it Support team hasn't developed these modules, you can contact directly the modules authors on the developer page.

What are the payment methods accepted ?

We accept only Credit Card payments through Stripe.

Is reSmush.it selling my data ?

There's absolutely no commercial use of your data. Uploaded pictures are stored for 15 minutes so that you can download your optimized pictures. Have a look at our GDPR page.

How can I terminate my contract ?

Just go to your Account page, and click on End-up my subscription. We do not refund started months. Your subscription will end at the end of the current period.

Where are located our servers ?

reSmush.it stores all servers in France and Netherlands. We do have monitoring servers located in Dublin.

Is reSmush.it helpful for my SEO ?

Google and other Search engines, are taking account of website weight, and favour presenting faster loading sites in search results than slower ones.. Pictures are one of the most important factor of loading for websites.

Optimized pictures is also a way to make your website reacts quicker, and have a smoother browsing.

Is it possible to preserve EXIF data ?

Yes ! You just need to specify a particular option in your API call. Have a look at our API documentation page.

Most of the CMS implementations of reSmush.it supports this EXIF option.

If I stop my subscription, will my pictures remains optimized ?

Yes ! Our API and plugins doesn't host pictures, they remain on your website or app. Once optimized, the API let you download the pictures, and store it with no time restriction.

Is there a support of progressive JPEG ?

Yes, some of optimized pictures have the progressive mode enabled, as the progressive has an impact on file sizes. This is performed automatically by the API.

What about other future files formats, such as BPG, HEIF or JPEG XR ?

We support image file formats according to browser's compatibility. Currently, the main recommandation is the use of WebP, which is now compatible with a large majority of web browsers. For example, JPEG XR is only compatible with few browsers.
